Dear Freestyle-Friends,
A few weeks ago, I received an email from the Federal Chancellery, or more precisely, from the staff for migration and integration. They asked me if I would like to come to the Chancellery in Berlin on April 22th to pose with the original European Championship trophy with a few other soccer influencers and record some content. Of course, I couldn't pass up this opportunity and I traveled to Berlin.
When I arrived at the Chancellery on Monday morning, I was impressed by the huge buildings and security measures. Once inside, we were welcomed by the Minister of State Reem Alabali-Radovan and were allowed to “kick a ball” in the Chancellor's Garden and give interviews about the upcoming European Football Championship. It fitted in well with the motto of the event “Heimspiel für Europa” that almost all of those invited were not entirely of German origin, but had some foreign roots.
Besides me, Aylin (@ayliny25_), Saki (@sakioficial), Jannik (@jannikfreestyle) and Younes (@youneszarou) were in the Chancellery and we brought a sporty atmosphere to the otherwise very quiet and formal building. After the trophy was filmed and photographed from all directions, we were allowed to pose on the huge balcony of the Integration Commissioner and film some pictures and videos.
After lunch, the Federal Chancellor had announced his arrival. He took extra time, traveled directly from Messe Hannover by helicopter and received us in his office. It was definitely a very special experience to play ball with the Chancellor. Thank you for your time, Mr. Scholz!
Thanks also to the Minister of State and Integration Commissioner Reem Alabali-Radovan for the invitation! It was a pleasure to shake up the Chancellery a bit. ☺️
Best regards,
Samu
